It is the mission of this organization to empower grieving mothers to grieve healthy through actions and support..
OUR APPROACH
We take a collaborative and solution-focused approach to empowering mothers. By working together, we can identify our strengths, overcome obstacles, and get involved in a plan of action to help us achieve our goals to grieve healthy. The trauma of losing a child or love one to senseless violence and unforeseen death can cause unhealthy grieving that leads to various health conditions and even death...
Our Journey
The Sisterhood journey to healthy grieving is not alway easy, most of the members are just ordinary mothers raising children in a society full of adversaries... However, we push through our pain and strive to keep our children memories alive, through participation in various events, collaborations, and outreach, as well as, being a voice for our children, Never letting society forget that they existed
Our Specialties
Through our very own experiences, We have specialize in helping grieving mothers and families with stress management, grief management, through phone calls, home visits, assisting and finding resources for funeral arrangements, most times we donate money out of our own pockets to assist with funeral expenses. We provide Victim Services, be it counseling referrals or group support. our biggest accomplishment was taking 22 mothers down state for a Healing Retreat.. it is our goal to have annual retreats for grieving mothers and families
